Love Letters From Pronk: Tyson Miller

Love Letters From Pronk is an ongoing series where Pronk shares his love for somebody connected to the Cubs. Sometimes funny, sometimes weird, Pronk likes to make 100% sure people know that they are loved, and best expresses that through gushing letters. Today's pick: Cubs Prospect, pitcher Tyson Miller

Tyson Miller made his Major League debut on 8/17/20 vs the St. Louis Cardinals. After being a 4th round pick in 2016, he worked his way up through the system. Relying on good control, he's the owner of a MILB 4.05 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. His debut went alright (2 IP 2 ER in an emergency start during a double header), and we are hopefully that he'll become a contributor in the years to come.

Tyson Miller owns one of those twitter accounts that makes the website worth following. He's also a pretty good pitcher. I love Tyson because he has a great sense of humor:

Dear Tyson,

Congratulations on making your debut in the Major Leagues. You have a few more starts to go before we expect a 20 strikeout, 1 hit complete game. Your minor league career was one I followed, because it seemed like you had the upside to becoming a solid MLB starter. Now that one big hurdle is out of the way, I'm excited to see what's next.

You've got a fantastic sense of humor. If I was in charge, I'd keep you in the big leagues just to keep the other guys entertained. I might be basing this off of tweets alone, but a guy who can poke fun at himself goes a long way. Abe Lincoln was also that way, and he was a pretty good man.

We wish you all the best as your big league career continues. After seeing you pitch, I think you've got the stuff to be successful. Keep at it, and good things will keep coming your way. You are easy to root for. I'd very much like to be obligated to by a Miller jersey because you became a solid SP. I believe in you!

XOXO,

Pronk
