On Monday, December 28th, Yu Darvish and Victor Caratini were traded to the San Diego Padres for Zach Davies, Reginald Preciado, Owen Caissie, Ismael Mena and Yeison Santana. It comes as a sudden end to the Yu Darvish era, which lasted just three years. Today, we try and say goodbye to a fun and great pitcher.
One of my favorite things about Yu Darvish is his his quirky sense of humor. Whether he pitched good or bad, he always had some way to make me laugh. With that in mind, I made a special highlight video.

Thank you for all the memories of the last few years. Thank you for pushing through that rough 2018 campaign and rebounding for two solid seasons. Your dazzling array of pitches and strikeout ability is something that we'll never quite see again. Thank you for choosing to come to Chicago, and contributing to three winning seasons. I appreciate everything that you brought to the north side. You will be missed.
