Love Letters From Pronk is an ongoing series where Pronk shares his love for somebody connected to the Cubs. Sometimes funny, sometimes weird, Pronk likes to make 100% sure people know that they are loved, and best expresses that through gushing letters. Today's pick: Anthony Rizzo's dog, Kevin. But today's letter isn't from the typical author.
Kevin Rizzo is Anthony Rizzo's brown Daschund (AKA wiener dog). He's become the unofficial mascot of the Cubs, because he's a cutie and a good wittle bwoy who should get all the bwelly wubs.
Today, we have a special love letter. As some of you know, I adopted two huskies a few years ago. They love watching the Cubs. They were especially excited to learn that Anthony Rizzo is a dog person. Today, we have a letter from my dogs to Kevin:
Dear Kevin,
We are Rizzo and Bryant, two sister huskies from the same litter, named after your daddy and his best friend. We are writing you to see if you'd like to go on a doggy date with us.
We may look very cute, but we are extremely playful. Our favorite game is to chase each other around the house snarling. Which we do every day. The key is to wait until your master is in the bathroom, then they can't stop you!
We have lots of toys, and are willing to share:
Well, most of the time. Rizzo has her favorite Mr. Bill. No sharing that one.
We love long walks at sunset, along the beach:
We also love belly rubs!
At the end of the day, we will sleep anywhere, and are very relaxed.
We are huge fans of you Kevin. You make dogs everywhere proud. We would love to meet you someday.
We are proud to be named after your master and his friend. They are great guys who are good at baseball. We get extra compliments around the house because of them. When they hit home runs, we get to hear things like "great job Rizzo!" "Awesome play Bryant!" Please keep bringing smile's to Anthony's face Kevin. He loves you very much.
