Exciting announcement! Cubs DNA will be attending the 2020 Chicago Cubs Convention.
I was able to squeeze into the waiting room at 12:05, and grab a ticket. They were $125, same as last year. Good old taxes and processing fees bumped that to $138, for the 3 day pass.
There's not a lot of details revealed at this point, but I did get the following blurb via email:
The 2020 Cubs Convention will be take place January 17-19, 2020, at the Sheraton Grand Chicago located at 301 East North Water Street, Chicago, IL 60611. Each all-access weekend pass includes three-day access to all activities and experiences offered at the Sheraton Grand Chicago and Loews Chicago Hotel, pending availability. I was able to attend the convention once, in 2002. I was in 8th grade, and it nurtured a lot of my fandom. At the time I was bummed that Sammy Sosa didn't attend. I did get to meet John McDonough, and had him sign my pass. Also got to meet Juan Cruz, which was nifty.
So that's the wrap for now. In the days to come, I'll share more info and tips as it becomes available. If you are also going to be there, I'd love to meet up!
